Conley Bottom is owned and operated by our family for your family. Our passion is also your passion- Lake Cumberland, and all of the beauty and activity that it has to offer. Our passion for Lake Cumberland started many years ago. Charlie started as a dock boy at the age of 14 and worked his way up through the years. He and his wife, Polly started to operate the business together in 1979, even converting part of their home into an office for Conley Bottom. Their daughter, Robin, grew up at Conley Bottom spending time at the first marina playing on the bank looking for fossils and making necklaces out of them. Her favorite memory is eating fudge sickles out of the cooler in the marina store- earning herself the nickname “fudgy” by the crew.

After marrying her husband, Fred in 1981, they began to manage the marina and along with Charlie and Polly they worked many years to help make Conley Bottom into the marina that it is today. Their children, Amber and Knox also grew up at the marina. Some of their earliest memories include making “pets” out of a giant catfish, playfully named George, that frequented the marina and a one-legged goose, named “ gray goose” that spent his days eating corn and bread from customers in the parking lot. Now, our story continues with the addition of four sweet kiddos who are also being raised “right” on Lake Cumberland.
